Serves as a poison control center offering 24-hour phone assistance with poisoning and overdoses, including those that occur through swallowing, inhaling, or contact with the skin or eyes.

- Provides assistance with suspected poisoning or overdose from: drugs and medicines; household, personal care, and garden products; chemicals; plants; bites and stings; gasses and fumes; and food poisoning
- If a patient requires medical attention the MPC will speak with the health care providers to develop a treatment plan and monitors patients in the hospital until they are discharged
Works with 911 first responders
